Executive Roundtable

Executive Roundtables

The HSMAI Egypt Executive Roundtable (ERT) is an exclusive, invitation-only forum designed for senior executives to engage in meaningful, strategic dialogue within a confidential setting. These closed-door sessions create a trusted space for decision-makers to share perspectives and explore practical strategies to enhance commercial performance across Egypt’s hospitality sector. The agenda is shaped directly by participants, ensuring discussions focus on the issues most relevant and impactful to the peer group.

Participating in Executive Roundtables

Participation in HSMAI Executive Roundtables is extended by invitation. Our Organizational Members are automatically invited, and additional invitations are thoughtfully offered to individuals whose professional role and company profile align with the focus of each discussion. This approach ensures the dialogue reflects perspectives most relevant to advancing our industry.

Invitations are personal and not transferable, helping us maintain the integrity and balance of voices at the table.

Roundtables are hosted by HSMAI.

Executive Roundtables Whitepaper

Following each Executive Roundtable, HSMAI publishes a thought leadership summary capturing the key themes, strategic insights, and recommendations emerging from the discussion. These reports are designed to share collective industry perspectives while preserving the confidentiality of individual participants.

The first edition in May 2026 produced a white paper, Egypt 2030: Commercial Strategy for a Global Hospitality Hub, capturing reflections and recommendations on six strategic themes: commercial growth, connectivity, diversification, service quality, talent, and data alignment. The output highlights how Egypt can grow visitor numbers while strengthening RevPAR, professionalizing commercial leadership, and building a resilient, globally competitive hospitality sector.

Upcoming editions will continue the dialogue:

September 2026 – Turning Market Data into Strategic Alignment
December 2026 – Diversifying Hotel Revenue: Pathways to Sustainable Profitability
February 2027 – Strengthening Hotel Commercial Structures and Teams
April 2027 – Diversifying Hotel Revenue: Pathways to Sustainable Profitability
June 2027 – Elevating Egypt as the next regional MICE Powerhouse

Together, these roundtables ensure collective insights translate into actionable strategies that support Egypt’s tourism growth ambition.

Egypt 2030: Commercial Strategy for a Global Hospitality Hub

The May Executive Roundtable convened industry leaders around the theme “Egypt 2030: Commercial Strategy for a Global Hospitality Hub.” The session fostered a strategic exchange on how marketing, distribution, and revenue management can elevate Egypt’s position within global tourism flows.

Participants collaborated to shape an initial Egypt 2030 Commercial Playbook, outlining key commercial principles, priority actions, and the market intelligence required to guide the sector forward.

As part of HSMAI’s global partnership with Sommet Education, the roundtable was expertly moderated by Prof. Adela Parro, a renowned hospitality educator and industry expert. Drawing on her extensive international experience across hospitality education, commercial strategy, and talent development, Prof. Adela facilitated a dynamic and insightful dialogue, helping participants align on a shared vision for Egypt’s future as a leading global hospitality hub.
